Your safeguarding policy still references the 2024 framework. Ofsted won't.

£800–£2,000/year
from £600/year

Nurseries maintain roughly thirty core policies — safeguarding, behaviour, health and safety, safer recruitment, SEND, complaints, and more. Every EYFS update requires at least a handful of these to be reviewed and rewritten to reflect the new requirements. The September 2025 EYFS framework alone triggered changes to safeguarding, safer recruitment, first aid, and attendance policies. Most settings either pay NDNA or a similar provider for generic policy templates or rely on the manager to rewrite them manually. Your policy agent monitors regulatory changes, identifies which of your policies are affected, and drafts updated versions that reference your specific setting — not boilerplate that could belong to any nursery in the country.

What Your Agent Actually Does

Your agent keeps your policy library current, personalised, and ready for inspection — without the annual rewrite panic.

Monitors EYFS and regulatory changes

When the DfE updates the statutory framework, your agent identifies which of your policies are affected and what needs to change. No more finding out from a newsletter three months late that your safeguarding policy is out of date.

Drafts updated policies for your specific setting

Your policies reference your setting name, your procedures, your local authority, your specific practices. Not "the provider shall" boilerplate — policies that sound like they were written by someone who works there.

Tracks review dates and initiates reviews on schedule

Every policy has a review date. Your agent tracks them all and flags when reviews are due — checking whether anything has changed that requires an update or confirming the policy is still current. No more inspection-day discoveries that half your policies are overdue.

Produces tracked-changes drafts for your approval

You see exactly what changed and why. Additions highlighted, deletions struck through, a plain-English summary of the regulatory change that prompted the update. Review and approve in minutes, not hours.

The real numbers.

Policy template subscriptions were a good idea in 2015. They gave settings something defensible in a folder. But Ofsted's shift toward evaluating whether policies reflect actual practice — not just whether they exist — means generic templates are increasingly a liability.

Your agent writes policies that reference your setting, your procedures, and your context. When an inspector reads your safer recruitment policy, it describes what you actually do, not what a template provider thinks you might do.

Good fit / not a fit.

This works brilliantly for:

  • Settings currently paying for generic policy template subscriptions
  • Nurseries whose policies haven't been meaningfully reviewed since the last EYFS update
  • Multi-site operators who need consistent but location-specific policies
  • Settings that have received Ofsted feedback about policies not reflecting practice

This probably isn't for you if:

  • You have a dedicated compliance lead who maintains and personalises policies as their core role
  • Your policies are genuinely bespoke and the subscription is just a reference backup
  • You're part of a chain where policies are managed centrally at head office

Handled like the sensitive data it is.

Children’s records — observations, safeguarding logs, SEND plans — are special category data under UK GDPR, and we treat them that way. Your agent runs on Claude via AWS Bedrock with an EU-only inference profile — meaning prompts and outputs never leave the EU, and are never used to train a model. Protected under Anthropic’s enterprise Business Associate Agreement.

Every run is logged for audit, every output is a draft your manager reviews and approves, and your data lives in a tenant isolated from every other customer. Parental consent verification is built into data workflows, and we’ll hand you a pre-filled DPIA template you can drop into your own records.

Need UK-only data residency? We offer an Azure UK South deployment as an enterprise add-on for customers with stricter procurement requirements. Full security details →

Let's talk.

We'll start with your current policy library — how many, what format, who maintains them, and what subscription you're using. Usually a 15-minute conversation.
